What We Do…
We host intimate events for friends, families and creatives (think: artists, coaches, designers, event planners, photographers, floral designers…) at a 17th century villa in the Italian countryside. From retreats and reunions to workshops and weddings, we just love creating an extraordinary atmosphere in which people can learn, participate and be filled with joy.
- Frothy cappuccino under a rose-covered pergola
- Gentle Tuscan breezes through your open window
- Winding lanes flanked by pointy cypress
- Crusty bread drizzled with new olive oil
- Dusty pathways through vineyards and olive groves
- Your toes, dangling in the pool
- Fields of impossibly red poppies
- Warm breakfast pastries
- Bubbles dancing in your glass of Prosecco
- Sitting on stone steps under a warm sun. Eyes closed.
- Dining with friends, under the stars
This is what an event feels like at Villa Poggio alla Trese. It’s the best of two worlds, really: a historic Italian villa that you have all to yourself (along with your group of students, family or friends) all while having our Strada Toscana team at your disposal – from our talented event-planner, Paola, to our exceptional Tuscan chef, Doriana, to our outstanding photographer and videographer, Sara and Emiliano.
In short, we make sure that your event is effortlessly amazing. You do your thing while we handle all the pesky details – from menu planning to logistics.
So grab a glass of Prosecco and head to the pool. We’ve got this.
Poggio alla Trese has been a part of a family estate since the 1700s – an estate that today includes stunning olive groves, sweeping vineyards and a precious little lake tucked into the nearby forest. The villa itself sits upon the very border of Tuscany and Umbria, an area that was prone to invasions by the Duke of Tuscany (back when feudal battles were the norm), and was lovingly restored by the family in 2008. The renovation included updates and redos to the kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms – all done with classy, traditional touches. The result is a villa that reflects its history with grace, and beckons to modern-day guests who love sumptuous sleeping rooms with characteristic touches. (Like you. 😉)
The location of Poggio alla Trese is nothing less than ideal. Situated in the countryside near with ancient hill town of Chiusi (Tuscany), and roughly halfway between Rome and Florence, the villa can be reached from the A1 Autostrada in about 15 minutes – super convenient for arrivals and departures – and the villa’s proximity to a seemingly endless number of medieval hill towns and historic sites (in both Tuscany and Umbria) is extraordinary. You can immerse yourself in the spectacular culture, history and beauty of Italy in all directions. It’s 360º of take-your-breath-away.
EXCLUSIVELY for You and Your Group
Enjoy the villa it as if its your own – all while savoring chef-prepared meals, expertly organized excursions and views that will leave you breathless. Plus this whole exclusivity thing means that you get an enviable, insider view – a backstage pass, if you will. You get access. To private olive groves, vineyards, sunflower fields and so much more.
